Practicing Gratitude
Every year, when mashed potato season begins and swimsuit season ends, I like to take inventory of all of the things I’m grateful for in my life with a list, tis’ the season after all…
This year is no different, and when asked to put together a piece on gratitude for our balance blog, I thought I would share my favorite fall tradition with my CURO family.
Samantha’s 2021 Gratitude Inventory:
At CURO, I’ve found a place that I can call home. Myself, Marianna, Melanie, and Rachael have a bond that means the world to me. We lift each other up when we’re feeling down, push each other to be the best that we can, and work as a team to keep the CURO train on track.
I’m grateful for my newfound love of rollerskating. It keeps me healthy while reminding me to never forget to find joy in the little, fun moments of life.
My best friend Lauren never allows for a dull moment, and I adore her for it.
My sister, who I’m taking an incredible journey with as we move in together for the year.
My dog and parents, who keep me sane always and who help me see the good when everything is overwhelming.
To share this tradition, I’ve asked the rest of my CURO crew to share two things that they’re grateful for this year, and they said…
Rachael’s 2021 Gratitude Inventory:
I’m eternally grateful for my family and the strides we’ve taken this year as a team. My kiddos, fur-babies, and husband keep me going and teach me life’s great lessons every day.
I’m grateful for my team here at CURO and our flexibility and support of one another.
Melanie’s 2021 Gratitude Inventory:
I’m grateful for the time spent with family. I am much more appreciative of the time I get to spend with them.
Ted Lasso- TV series on Apple TV. If you haven’t watched it yet, you should! As creator and star, Jason Sudeikis says, “The show is about two things most Americans don’t like, soccer and kindness.” (haha!) Highly recommend if you want a laugh and an unexpected reminder of kindness in other people.
Marianna’s 2021 Gratitude Inventory:
I’m grateful for Becca’s wedding celebration and the smile on their faces to be surrounded by family and friends in-person.
I’m grateful for people’s kindness and their ability to overcome all the suffering in the world – I WANT them to highlight good stuff in the news to lead by example.
